Biography

Tracy Marie Taylor is a Chicago-based multi-media artist and educator, and is currently an Associate Professor at Lake Forest College. Her art practice is conceptually-driven: she chooses the media to fit the content. She works in painting, drawing and sculpture, as well as video, animation, 3D printing, and digital photography. Taylor’s artwork has been shown in galleries around Chicago and across the United States, including solo exhibitions at John Sommers Gallery (Albuquerque, NM), Gosia Koscielak Gallery (Chicago, IL), Fraction Workspace (Chicago, IL), and the Contemporary Art Workshop (Chicago, IL), and has been included in group exhibitions at New World Gallery (Alpharetta, GA), Apex Art (New York, NY), ThreeWalls (Chicago, IL), and the Center for Digital Art (Los Angeles, CA).
Taylor holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and BFA from the University of New Mexico.
