About her work:

Meg Duguid combines performance art with a studio-based practice. She creates exhibitions and installations that investigate the performative structure that permeates objects, character archetypes, civilizations, and built environments. In her practice, Duguid creates a self contained ecosystem - much like the scene shop of a television channel in an alternate reality - where materials, pieces and parts are meant to be reused or repurposed in the next performance, video, or installation. She dismantles the work, packs it in a suitcase, and moves to the next location. In this way, all the work is in process over decades. process, each piece in turn begetting the next work.
