Based in the Chicago metropolitan area, Noelle Garcia is an artist who focuses on themes of identity, family history and recovered narratives in her work. She grew up in the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony and is an enrolled member of the Klamath Tribes. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and institutions across the United States. Garcia has been a fellow of the Smithsonian’s National Museum, The Nevada Arts Council, and the American Indian Graduate Center.
