On being an artist and a mom:
I don't compartmentalize time, my time is everything I do and I try to be present and mindful when I am cooking, when I am taking a walk in nature as well as when I am making a work alone in the studio. This way all the time is "My time"
My kids are at school so I use that time and also I try to work for some weeks and then I don't and I understand that I don't have to make all the time, those breaks are part of the digesting stages of art making.
Legacy is important and to play. I know I want to make the best work I can with the context around me.
