Sara Holwerda
Biography:
Sara Holwerda is an artist, organizer and curator living and working in Chicago. She is a co-creator and organizer of Extended Practice, and curated an international animation screening as part of this project. She is also currently on the programming board for Nightingale Cinema and is a member of EyeSplice Collective. Her solo exhibitions and performances include The Sculpture Center and performances at the Cranbrook Art Museum. She has shown her work in festivals, exhibitions, and screenings, locally, nationally and internationally, including at Defibrillator Performance Gallery in Chicago, IL, The Front in New Orleans, LA, the Armory in Pasedena CA, and Muza Plus in Tel Aviv. She holds a BFA from the University of Michigan, and an MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
